Custom Recovery Thunderg

Install Preparation custom recovery Thunderg

  1. Download recovery-RA-GNM-thunderg-1.1.0.img.zip and flash_image.zip
  2. Extract those two files and put in SDCard root(not in folder)
  3. download android SDK
  4. Run SDK manager.exe, at Avalaible Packages download USB driver (depend on your device) and platform tools
  5. add PATH in windows :
    • Extract android SDK to your hardisk (ex:D drive)

      D:\android-sdk_r08-windows

    • Then add Path in windows
      right click on my Computer -> Properties -> advance system setting -> enviroment variables
    • At enviroment variables, click new in user variable.

      variable name : adb
      variable value : D:\android-sdk_r08-windows\platform-tools

    • Open cmd(terminal) type

      cd D:\android-sdk_r08-windows\platform-tools

    • For test, connect the android to PC, and type the adb device, a MAC address from device will show

Install Custom Recovery Thunderg

  1. Recheck (step 1 preparation) the files, are they in correct placed. root not in folder.
  2. Connect your device, make sure USB debugging is active, USB storage disable.
  3. open cmd
  4. Check is the device is detect

    adb kill-server
    adb start-server

  5. type adb shell, the mark will become $
  6. type su, select allow superaccess
    the mark $ became #, its mean you have a superaccess now.
  7. type command below

    # mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock1 /system
    # cat /sdcard/flash_image > /system/bin/flash_image
    # chmod 755 /system/bin/flash_image
    # mv /system/etc/install-recovery.sh /system/etc/install-recovery.sh.bak (if error show up, just continue)
    # mount -o remount,ro -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock1 /system
    # flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-RA-GNM-thunderg-1.1.0.img
    # reboot recovery

  8. The device will reboot, and you got your custom recovery
