Unlock Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 bootloader

Preparation

  • Install PC Companion as driver
  • Rooted Sony Xperia x8
  • Download S1Tool
  • Download msm7227
  • Flashtool

Unlock Bootloader Sony Ericsson xperia X8

  1. Turn off the device
  2. Run S1tool.exe
  3. choose Do Job
  4. Press and hold Back Button then connect Xperia x8 to PC/Laptop
  5. Look at S1tool output Logs, under the Serial Number
    • SEMC SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE – let`s continue with next steps
    • NOT RECOGNIZED SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE – let`s stop here, it`s to risk to continue
  6. Remove Xperia from PC and turn it on.
  7. go to menu > setting > Applications > Development
  8. check USB Debugging (enable)
  9. Connect the device to PC
  10. You will got SEMC SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE log
  11. run msm7227_semc.cmd, press any key to start
  12. here`s the result log

note: some antivirus my detect the msm7227 and s1tool as contaminated file, but it`s clean. Just turn off your antivirus for a while. By the way, some antivirus may block the process. When you got “Access is denied” messege, turn off the anti virus and try to repeat the steps
